Fred was somewhat taken aback that his companion would do such a thing in a grocery store, especially in the dry-goods section, which it no longer was. Barbara didn’t care. When situations arose, you took care of them, and then you moved on. Besides, it would teach that snooty manager a lesson about not providing public facilities…

Oh how this makes me hoot. I’m more stop n drop than stop n shop myself though always al fresco and preferably in the wilds is my motto.

I have an al fresco spirit as well. Unless it’s really hot. Then my investment diminishes…

Vaporizing is never a good look. Not evaporation!!

Oh, I just figured it out. At first I thought you were referring to what she did to her bangs (er.. fringe as we would call it in Australia).

Well, I suppose it could refer to her fringe. Something about…. no, I can’t make it work. Sorry, Peggy. 😉

Thank Goodness for that – I was truly afraid where you might go with that comment.

Oh … so been there and done that ( well not exactly there – probably under the next tree to Osyth!)

Well, I’ve been known to baptize a few things that didn’t really need it…

Moments earlier:
Hey, babe, can you give me a hand? I threw my back out killing your husband and the doctor told me not to lift anything over ten pounds.
In your dreams, Freddy. I’m busy time warping my bangs to the early 1980’s. Besides, my daddy was a butcher and I know a ten pound sausage when I see one.
Five?
I’ll give you cocktail weenie. Don’t shake it more than twice. And for gods sake look at what you’re doing, not me. These are new shoes and my deal is I get to keep my wardrobe.

Afterwards…
Fred: “Was it worth it?”
Barbara: “When is it not? I’m completely energized now. Let’s go find some more of my husbands.”

It pays to have bathrooms nearby…or leak proof panties.

In a perfect world, there would be a bathroom within 50 feet of any given location…

I don’t doubt that there is but it’s all about accessibility

Yeah. When the urge to peer at other shoppers (whilst wearing a wig and shades)gets too strong, you just have to give in and do it!

I just love how she looks in this shot. She could do anything and get away with it…

I hope she was wearing galoshes (those weird rubbery overshoe things that were popular back in the old days)…because a good squat and let fly can ruin good shoes…. *whistling*

Someday I’ll tell you a story about a lady I met in a bar one time who could actually use a urinal. The details are too eye-opening to share in this public forum…

Dammit! Hit send too soon. Anyway, she does have sort of a guilty i’m trying to cover something up look in this scene. But then of course, she IS guilty on this movie….

In my book, Barbara could do anything and get away with it. This bit here is a piece of cake… 😉

Standing up? What are you implying here?
Also, you latched onto one of my favorite movies. I was a senior in high school when I first saw it, and up til then only knew them from TV. It was a little hard accepting them as bad guys, but it is one fine movie.

It’s a terrific movie. And as for the standing, someday I’ll share with you the same story I promised Embeecee above. Perhaps the three of us could get together in a dry-goods section somewhere and I’ll spill the tea, so to speak…

Fred’s expression is priceless, Brian! It fits perfectly with the scenario that you have created. You know, Barbara had just enough cajones to do something like that. Humorous as always!

Thanks, Susan! At least Fred is trying to remain somewhat stoic. I would either be laughing or running, depending on my mood and who might find out what… 😉

Laughing while running would be my reaction.
