Millicent had a very serious misunderstanding about the concept of cross-pollination…
Originally posted in “Crusty Pie” on 04/27/15 and “Bonnywood Manor” on 04/12/16. No changes made. As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been a bit AWOL, partly because I’m on a vision quest to reevaluate what I want to do with my life, writing-wise, and partly because the plumbing in the guest bathroom thought it would be fun to explode and flood the entire planet. (“And all the animals of the world were led on to the ark, two of each kind. Except for Trump and Trump Junior, as there were already two braying asses on the boat and the quota had been reached.”) I’ll keep you posted on both counts. Eventually.

It’s no wonder women weren’t taken seriously for centuries. 😀

And I was thinking “Boop boop be doop….” Huh. Good luck with that plumbing problem. Annoying and expensive, two of my own least favorite things…and I don’t know if this is the case with YOU, but the second the toilet went on the fritz was the second someone in my household (ain’t sayin’ it was ME, ain’t saying it wasn’t).. had to uh, answer the call of nature in the 2nd degree. It’s a phenomenon that makes me mighty glad I have TWO places for relief now. I’ll never go back. And your writing? I’m hoping MORE that it’s proving itself out. That shit is HARD… *snicker*

Oh, the plumbing situation was a real fun-fest for all involved. Naturally, the very second the plumber arrived, I was suddenly traumatized by an urgent need for strenuous recycling, followed seconds later by said plumber announcing that he would have to shut off the water to the house in order to work his highly-priced magic. I clenched with conviction, and several hours (days?) later, I was barely able to scrawl my signature on the check for services rendered…

I think she’s making a move on those flowers. 😀 Weird. And even weirder if they’re fake. Too many martinis, maybe?

And I just now noticed that there is the image of a woman painted on the side of the vase. I’m no longer sure what Millicent was trying to share with whom… 😉

Quirks abound – but I do not like the “bow” lips. Hope your plumbing issue has returned to normal, and the the “re-evaluating” bit has been productive.

The plumbing situation has vastly improved (although my checking account has not). The reevaluation is going quite well, actually, as I’m now realizing that many things I once thought were priorities are no longer so important. In a good way…

Sometimes it just takes a while to realize that the world will keep spinning.

I love it when I look at these pictures for a second time, after reading the story, and see them in a whole new light.
PS I have done a first draft of my three word challenge. It might be a load of rubbish.
PPS. Sorry you have had troubles in your water works.

And then there’s the flip side of things, where I look at the picture a second time after I finish the post and think “well, damn, I didn’t even write about what I meant to write about when I sat down. Hmm…”
PS Please take your time, no rush.
PSS Things have finally dried out…
