And so it was
That we got on a plane
With all that associated pain
The suckage was, indeed, fierce
The layovers, the lay-abouts, the lackadaisicality
Of humans behaving badly
(And not caring)
Finally, the madness ended
And there were no more interminable lines
Only a car, arranged, waiting
We climbed inside
We drove
Giant hills we encountered
Twisty curves, alien but familiar
Many of them sharp, revealing surprises
Suddenly, white-drenched boxes spilled downward
Full of expectant treasures, some shareable, some not, gold on the breakfast tray
We paused, sighed, reflected
Then we drove to the box that was ours, albeit fleeting, mere days of seizing
And unlocked the door…
Greetings from Cómpeta, Spain. More to follow. Unless the boxes want me to keep some of their secrets. I can do that, fingers crossed…

Ahhh, I am envious. But don’t let that take away your pleasure, because I know you’d worry about that!

Thanks, JC. It’s been a bit transcendental these last few days, if you don’t mind the fancy word… 😉
